Wow! As Jon Lawler and Lou Hickey followed their band through the crowd to the stage, you got the feeling that this was going to be special. Yes, granted, it was a fairly small crowd but that added to the air of an intimate exclusive gig. They opened with Hollywood and the sound was fantastic. The whole show was brilliant, there was a small technical hitch, which led to an impromptu solo by one of the horn section and that was great too! Jon and Lou have a wonderful rapport and certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves. During the last song Lou kicked her red high heels off and I took that as a sign she felt comfortable in her surroundings, I hope she did they will be welcome in Sheffield anytime!...But I suspect next time there will be a much bigger crowd!
