Wow! As Jon Lawler and Lou Hickey followed their band through the crowd to the stage, you got the feeling that this was going to be special. Yes, granted, it was a fairly small crowd but that added to the air of an intimate exclusive gig. They opened with Hollywood and the sound was fantastic. The whole show was brilliant, there was a small technical hitch, which led to an impromptu solo by one of the horn section and that was great too! Jon and Lou have a wonderful rapport and certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves. During the last song Lou kicked her red high heels off and I took that as a sign she felt comfortable in her surroundings, I hope she did they will be welcome in Sheffield anytime!...But I suspect next time there will be a much bigger crowd! Thank you for last night it was awesome xx

I was some what suprised at the small crowd (but I suppose that would be something to do with them just starting out!!)-but loved that it felt so exclusive. Loved the intamacy of the gig and the fact that the crowd left a large semi-circle in front of the stage. Boosted by several bloody marys..the rhythm took hold almost immediatly and I felt the urge to dance. And dance we did!! Little Sister was rip roaringly fantastic and I just luuuurve the horns. The music just leaps into your soul and makes you move. Nevada was beautiful and both Jon and Lou looked like they were really enjoying themselves. I know I was! Cant wait for the album.
